The Hong Kong Massacre, Hong Kong şehrinde geçen, yüksek tempolu bir kuş bakışı (top-down) nişancı oyunudur. Hong Kong aksiyon filmlerinden ilham alan oyun, oyuncuların restoranlardan bina çatılarına kadar uzanan seviyelerde, şehrin dört bir yanında sert çatışmalara girmesine olanak tanır. Oyun, oyuncuların destansı çatışmalara girmesine yardımcı olmak için ağır çekim ve dalış/kaçınma mekanikleri içerir. Her atış ölümcül olduğundan hata yapmaya yer yoktur. Her seviye, sadece öldürülecek düşmanları değil, aynı zamanda oyuncunun tamamlaması gereken ve silahların ve yükseltmelerin kilidini açan farklı görevleri de içerir.

The Hong Kong Massacre is a fast paced top-down shooter set in the city of Hong Kong. Inspired by Hong Kong action movies the game let's the player engage in hard-boiled gunfights around the city, in levels ranging from restaurants to building rooftops.
The game features slow motion and dive/dodge mechanics to aid the player engage in epic gunfights. Every shot is deadly so there is no room for mistakes.
Each level contains not only enemies to kill but also different challenges for the player to complete that unlocks weapons and upgrades.
