Shining in the Darkness (1991)
Japonya'da Shining and the Darkness (シャイニング&ザ・ダクネス) adıyla piyasaya sürülen Shining in the Darkness, Sega Genesis oyun konsolu için 1991 yılında geliştirilmiş bir rol yapma oyunudur (RPG). Sistem için piyasaya sürülen ilk rol yapma oyunlarından biri olup, Shining serisinin de ilk oyunudur. 13 Ağustos 2007'de oyun, Kuzey Amerika'da Wii Virtual Console üzerinde yeniden yayımlanmış, 7 Eylül 2007'de ise Avrupa'da tekrar piyasaya sürülmüştür. Oyun ayrıca Xbox 360 ve PlayStation 3 için çıkan Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection içerisinde de yer almaktadır.

Shining in the Darkness, released as Shining and the Darkness (シャイニング&ザ・ダクネス) in Japan, is a 1991 role-playing video game for the Sega Genesis video game console. It was one of the first role-playing games released for the system, and was the first in the Shining series.
On August 13, 2007, the game was re-released on the Wii Virtual Console in North America and on September 7, 2007 the game was re-released in Europe. The game also appears in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
