Londra, 1592. Büyük bir veba salgını başkenti kasıp kavuruyor. Doktorlar korku içinde şehri terk ederken, bir kahraman ortaya çıkıyor. Adı Simon Forman; Astroloji, Astronomi ve Tıp "Doktoru". Sadece hastaları iyileştirme gücüne sahip değil, aynı zamanda kayıp evcil hayvanlarını bulabiliyor ve geleceklerini tahmin edebiliyor! Üstelik tüm bunları yıldızların hareketlerini okuyarak yapıyor. Ancak veba sona erdiğinde, Forman'ın sorunları başlıyor. Gerçek doktorlar Londra'ya geri dönüyor ve onu alaşağı etmek için hiçbir şeyden geri durmayacaklar...
